Current Members Start Registering

The signup link is up on the top of the page.

Start registering!  The more members that use this site to write about discussion topics, post videos, rant, rave and in general stuff the better it will be.  If you need help getting used to using WordPress just let me know.  I’d be glad to do a short demo at one of our meetings.  I really want this to be a community driven site.  If there are things you think would be cool to add let me know.  There are tons of cool things we can do with this site like:

• Image Sliders (but we need photos first)
• Facebook/Google Single Sign On (so you don’t have to remember yet another password)
• Social Media integration (with our facebook page)
• Post rating systems (with little stars to show awesome-ness)
• Fancy Author Boxes (like this http://wordpress.org/plugins/fancier-author-box/)
• Fancy Photo Galleries (again need photos)
• Member only content areas (for super secret squirrel stuff)
• E-commerce if we want to sell junk (what I have no idea)
• Share buttons (share on Facebook share on Twitter ect….)

The possibilities are endless by it’s not features that drive a website it is content.  Which is where I need everyone’s help.

Eventually the plan is to move away form Meetup because of the cost so I’ll be getting an event plugin to replace our current Meetup tie-in sometime in the future.  But since we are paid up tile next March we’ll continue to use Meetup while this site starts to launch.
